Jobbeschreibung

The Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging seeks to fill a Postdoctoral Research Associate position related to positron emission tomography (PET) radiotracer development. This position will also carry an appointment as a research fellow at Harvard Medical School.

The position requires a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field. However, strong applicants in any field who are creative and motivated should inquire about opportunities by email.

The successful candidate will have a background in the synthesis and analysis of organic compounds and will join the PET radiotracer development group at the Martinos Center (http://www.martinos.org) under the directorship of Dr. Jacob Hooker. Experience with radioisotopes will be advantageous, but not required. Working knowledge of biology and anatomy is a plus. Good oral and written communication skills are required.

The Martinos Center is home to about eighty faculty members and over 100 postdoctoral research fellows and graduate students, and is a resource to hundreds of researchers and students throughout Boston, the United States and the world. The research faculty members are basic scientists and clinicians interested in a broad range of biologically and medically important questions. They work in conjunction with our physical scientists and engineers to develop new imaging technologies and research applications, and to bring these developments to the sphere of medical care.

For more information or to apply, applicants should send a CV and cover letter to
